I was listening to NPR a few days ago and the commentator seemed alarmed at the high gas prices sweeping the nation just as I was passing a gas station advertising $2.89 a gallon. Sometimes I think that news commentators forget that there are a few states in between the coasts and ” sweeping the nation” just means that the northeast and California are experiencing at least $4.00 a gallon.
