Is this the best time to sell your home?
Maybe.
Common belief says that May and June are the best months to sell your home, but July is still pretty good. Buyers are looking despite vacations, hot weather and music festivals.
I’ve noticed quite a bit of homes with price reductions recently, especially Fort Collins and Loveland.
Old Town Fort Collins also has 15 listings below $350k still on the market and have been for a couple of weeks.
My buyers are primarily looking for larger family homes with yards, but these Old Town homes are decent investments. They’re also great for downsizing for couple or singles. Easier to walk or bike to events, City Park, and the Poudre Trail.
Don’t believe that buying a home or investment in Fort Collins/Loveland is impossible—it’s not. If you have tons of equity in your home or you’re looking for somewhere to put your money after you take it out of the stock market (no, I don’t know anything), you’d be well-served to take a second or third look at properties in northern Colorado.
Interest rates are still very low, as is inventory. But sellers—don’t think you can put your home on the market without making it look its Sunday best and buyers—get off the river or mountain for a day or two and start looking. You’ll be pleasantly surprised!!!
